Both Catholic and non-Catholic ceremonies can be performed in Marikle Chapel. Discounts are offered to students, alumnae and their family, relatives of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, and friends of the College. Ceremonies can be scheduled on Friday evenings, Saturdays, or Sunday afternoons. Requests for dates and availability should be directed to our wedding coordinator at 410-532-5781 or events@ndm.edu. Coordinating details related to the event, contracts and deposits will be handled through this office. The director of campus ministry will assist the bride and groom with all arrangements with the Archdiocese for Catholic weddings. Assistance in choosing music and readings can also be provided if needed.

Marikle Chapel will seat up to 250 people including the bride, groom and the bridal party. Each couple must arrange for a celebrant, musicians, readers, and singers for their service. A baby grand piano and organ are housed in the chapel for musicians to use for the rehearsal and ceremony. A wedding coordinator will be assigned to each couple and will be present during the rehearsal and wedding. If the reception is also being held on the campus, the coordinator will remain to manage that function as well.

Doyle Formal is available for receptions whether the wedding has occurred in Marikle Chapel or at another location. The room will hold up to 180 people without a dance area and 140 people with a dance area. SAGE Dining Services is the on-site caterer. Menus are available for a range of reception options. Our chef can fashion meals from the simplest to the most elegant to satisfy your palate and your budget. Service can be provided buffet style, as a seated and served meal, or with themed stations. Bartenders are well-trained and will provide a host bar, open bar or table service for your reception.
