Ernest Ragogini performs March 29 piano concert
Baltimore, Md., March 7, 2008 – Ernest Ragogini, pianist,
performs a concert on Saturday, March 29, at 7 p.m. in LeClerc Auditorium, College of Notre Dame of Maryland, 4701 North Charles Street in Baltimore.
Included in the program will be a composition titled “Theme with Ramifications” (based on the Don Quixote legend), written for Dr. Ragogini by well-known composer James Reyes, a professor at Berklee School in Boston.
Dr. Ragogini has performed extensively throughout the United States, Central and South America, Europe and Canada to critical acclaim. As recitalist, collaborative musician and orchestral soloist, he has recorded for WQXR in New York, WGMS in Washington, WVIA in Pennsylvania and has been a featured artist on National Public Radio. A member of College of Notre Dame’s faculty, he is vice president of the Baltimore-Washington Chapter of the American Liszt Society and co-chair of the William Garrison Piano Festival and Competition.
