The Voting Faculty is comprised of regular full-time and pro-rata faculty and administrators holding faculty rank.  Voting faculty may vote during deliberations of the Faculty Senate and in elections of faculty to committees.

Faculty Senate

When the voting faculty assembles for purposes of discussion, consent, and approval and/or for decisions by vote, it constitutes the Faculty Senate.

Quorum

The quorum is a majority of the members entitled to vote.

Consensus

When the Presider of the meeting observes general agreement to the pending action being discussed by the Faculty Senate and when no objections have been presented, the Presider may state that the action is adopted, received or accepted.

Definitive vote

A definitive vote requires a clear count of those voting for or against a motion or action.

Faculty Committees

Faculty committees are established and authorized by the Faculty Senate, including Faculty Issues, Academic Issues, Coordinating, Promotion and Tenure, Grievance, Graduate Studies and such other committees as may be initiated and approved by the Faculty Senate.
