Study Abroad

Embracing another culture through a first-hand educational encounter can be an extraordinary experience.  While the study itself is enriching, equally so are the opportunities to develop an international perspective, intercultural and linguistic skills, international friendships, and a sense of global responsibility.

Through Notre Dame’s Office of International Programs, qualifying students can select from 39 semester-long and 21 summer programs in 28 countries, available through the College’s membership in the Academic Consortium of the Council on International Educational Exchange and affiliation agreements with colleges and universities abroad.

Short-term study abroad programs led by Notre Dame faculty also are offered during the winter and summer terms. Most of these programs are 2-3 weeks in length and provide academic credit.
