There are no short cuts to gaining a great education. But there is a fast lane—at Notre Dame’s Accelerated College. Created in 2003, the Accelerated College provides an innovative approach to advancing your career through ‘fast-forward’ undergraduate programs in business or nursing.
Think of it as the same exceptional Notre Dame education—only with an extra shot of espresso. The Accelerated College is intended to meet the needs of those fast-track individuals who are focused on earning an undergraduate degree in nursing (RN to BSN), business, and Liberal Studies in Elementary Education in as few as two and a half years.
At the core of the Accelerated College experience is the “cohort”—a dedicated group of students who share the same sequential, five-to-seven-week classes, held throughout the year, while advancing through the program. Through this close and supportive association, cohort members motivate each other to succeed, forming strong ties that can last well beyond graduation.
The flexible nature of the Accelerated College program emphasizes real-world experience. Cohort classes may be held on Notre Dame’s main campus on North Charles Street in Baltimore, the HEAT Center in Harford County, the Laurel College Center in Prince George's County or at an off-site location, depending upon student interest. Cohorts sponsored by area employers can be held at the organizations facilities.
