Job description- Students will be responsible for assisting the FRC director and Faculty with preparation of materials for courses to be used/presented in Joule and in the classroom. This will include:

-scanning & photocopying documents

-converting files to a different format (print & media files)

-converting VHS to a digital format or DVD

-uploading materials to Joule

-assisting with basic Joule instructor-level functionality (making the course/material available, deleting/reordering materials)

-assisting with testing Joule 2

-assisting with creating documentation and communications for Faculty

-keeping the FRC computers up-to-date

Qualifications- Required skills:

-Proficiency in using a PC running XP and/or Windows 7

-Proficiency in using Joule as a student (being Joule certified is a plus)

-Basic skills in Word and PowerPoint  (creating documents, saving, editing)

-Basic office skills (good phone etiquette, accurate message taking)

-Ability to work independently

***Having any of the skills below is a plus, but if you don't have them you will still be considered for the job if you are willing to learn:

-experience with a MAC

-experience with audio/video software and equipment

-basic proficiency with Acrobat Pro (reodering/rotating/removing pages, changing format)

-Image editing in PowerPoint

- BASIC web and social media proficiency  (Wordpress, tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Youtube)

-Joule basic instructor skills (posting documents/links)
