Embracing another culture through a first-hand educational encounter can be an extraordinary experience.
While the study itself is enriching, equally so are the opportunities to develop an international perspective, intercultural and linguistic skills, international friendships, and a sense of global responsibility.
Through Notre Dame’s Office of International Programs, qualifying students can select from more than 200 semester-long and summer programs in 37 countries, available through the University’s memberships in the Academic Consortium of the Council on International Educational Exchange and International Studies Abroad and affiliation agreements with colleges and universities abroad.
Short-term study abroad programs led by Notre Dame faculty are also offered during the winter/summer terms and spring/fall breaks. Most of these programs are one to two weeks in length and provide academic credit.
