Leadership and Management Program
Today’s managers face challenges of ever-changing technology and market demands, as well as motivating and maintaining productive employees. The Master of Arts in Leadership and Management at Notre Dame of Maryland prepares leaders to act from an ethical base to master challenges and effect change toward the realization of individual and organizational potential. In addition to a solid core of management courses, students may choose an area of concentration—an opportunity to customize this quality program to fit their individual needs and aspirations.
The Master of Arts in Leadership and Management utilizes a focused approach to excellence in leadership, providing women and men in many different fields with the skills they need to manage the complexities of organizations. By placing emphasis on human dimensions of the workplace, this program gives graduates a keen understanding of individual motivations for higher levels of achievement. And our new Coached Leadership Practicum pairs students with a professionally trained leadership coach to further develop leadership skills. Under their guidance of their personal leadership coach, students develop and implement a project that addresses workplace or community needs and is aligned with the student's values and aspirations.
The program integrates both the science of management and the art of leadership through its grounding in both business and the liberal arts. The core of the program includes courses in:
