Photograph of pharmacy studentsThe School will consider for admission those applicants who display the academic and professional promise necessary to become outstanding members of the pharmacy profession. The admissions process is highly selective. All applicants must submit an application both through the Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS) and via a School of Pharmacy Supplemental Application (see the Application Process section).

Early Decision Application PharmCAS application: September 2, 2014 and Supplemental Application: October 1, 2014. Early decision is a binding option for applicants who have decided that Notre Dame of Maryland University is their first choice pharmacy school and will enroll in the program if accepted.  ThePharmCAS application, fees and all transcripts must be received by PharmCAS by the above deadline, and all supplemental applications must be received by the School of Pharmacy by the supplemental deadline listed above for early decision applicants to be considered.  Visit the PharmCAS website (www.pharmcas.com) for detailed information regarding the early decision process.

Regular Decision Application - For applicants seeking regular admission for Fall 2015, the application deadlines for PharmCAS application: March 1, 2015 and Supplemental Application: April 1, 2015.  Selected applicants will be invited to attend an on-campus interview.

Application Reviews - Evaluation of completed applications (PharmCAS and Supplemental applications) will begin in August 2014 and continue until all seats in the class are filled for regular admission.  Early Decision Applicants will be notified by October 17, 2014.   Early decision applicants who are not accepted will be automatically reconsidered for regular admission.

This initial evaluation will determine which applicants are eligible for an on-campus interview; a final evaluation will determine which applicants are eligible for acceptance. Given the competitive admissions environment, multiple criteria are used to select the most qualified candidates. Grade point averages, PCAT scores, letters of reference, professional preparedness and motivation, personal qualities, communication skills, ability to be a team player and decision making will all be considered when reviewing an applicant’s file.
