CONTENT:
This course is designed to the fundamental principals of the art and craft of drawing. A wide variety of materials, techniques and subject matter will be explored as each student develops her own personal aesthetic.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. To introduce a fundamental technical manipulations of various drawing mediums.
2. To experience a variety of subject matter.
3. To develop individual artistic and aesthetic interests.
METHODS:
1. In-class demonstrations.
2. In-class studio practice
3. Slide lecture presentations
4. Group critiques.
REQUIREMENTS AND ASSIGNMENTS:
Students are required to submit a portfolio of drawing that is created in the classroom and homework assignments.
