The Institutes and International Programs at Notre Dame preserve an essential element of education often missing at modern colleges and universities—namely, a love of learning for learning’s sake.

An Institute brings a community of like-minded learners together to study for intellectual growth.  At Notre Dame, our dynamic Institutes provide stimulating forums for just that.

Though their non-credit course and special programs, the Institutes at Notre Dame offer you access to a wealth of knowledge usually expected from a larger university, but in a relaxed, more personal setting.

What’s more, through the Sister Kathleen Feeley International Center on campus, the College offers a leading set of international institutes and programs, including

• The English Language Institute
• The Pastoral Spanish Program
• NEH Summer Institute

In addition, to give our students a richer, first-hand experience of other cultures, the College’s Office of International Programs actively sponsors 31 semester-long and 16 summer study abroad programs in 21 countries.
