2007 Season Outlook

Notre Dame's 2006 season ended with a record of 8-8-3 (6-0) and its seventh Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference Championship, earning the Gators a fourth trip to the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championships.  The Gators enter the 2007 season with a potent scoring attack and a veteran presence in goal that will lead them on their drive for success. 

Senior Courtney Zgraggen returns for her fourth season as the starting goalkeeper.

Since joining the team, Zgraggen has played all but 70 of over 5,100 minutes in goal for the Gators.  She has a 1.72 career goals against average and has made 314 saves in 3 seasons.  Juniors Amanda Hubbel and Liz Shipley will help to protect the goal on the defensive end for the Gators. 

Seniors Sarah McCutcheon and junior Stephani Jones will lead the offense.  in just two seasons, Jones has moved high onto the college's career scoring charts.  Last season, Jones led the Gators and the AWCC with 24 goals and 7 assists.  She ranked eighth in NCAA Division III in goals per game (1.26) and 15th in points per game (2.89), earning AWCC Most Outstanding Player honors.

Seniors Kelly Mattingly and  Anne Shippen return to contribute on both ends of the field for the Gators.  Last season, Mattingly played primarily on the defensive unit, but she often pushed up with the offense.  Sophomore Lauren Terry  and junior Roxana Beyranvand return to the midfield adding additional depth and speed along with newcomers Michel Carey and Christina Miedzinski.

Junior Ashleigh Johnson returns to bolster the defense along with newcomer Jessica Rohaly.
