As an institution rooted in the Catholic tradition, College of Notre Dame offers students a rich, faith-based environment and community. Students of every faith are encouraged to foster their spiritual development and put their beliefs into action through service.
Students are welcome to participate in Eucharistic liturgies, ecumenical and sacramental prayer services, discussion and prayer groups and retreats. Community service is a vital part of campus ministry, as students volunteer for alternative spring break opportunities and on the local-urban, national and international scene.
Several student organizations are integral to the office of campus ministry: the student Campus Ministry Team, the Community Service Organization, Peer Ministry, the Liturgical Music Ministry group and ARK (Always Religious Kinship).
Mission Statement
The office of campus ministry reflects the mission of College of Notre Dame of Maryland. Witnessing to the Gospel values of Jesus, campus ministry strives to nurture the spiritual well-being of the campus community. Campus ministry serves to ground the educational and social experience within a spiritual framework. Faithful to our Catholic heritage, campus ministry is catholic in its truest sense as we embrace people of all faiths and welcome the richness that religious diversity brings. Student-centered and holistic in essence, campus ministry fosters community and promotes the development of leadership and service as primary values for women in today's Church.
