The Arc Baltimore Honors the School of Pharmacy
June 19, 2014
The Notre Dame of Maryland University School of Pharmacy received the Arc Baltimore’s annual Intern Service Award on June 19.
Through the innovative AdvoCaring program, School of Pharmacy students serve as interns at The Arc Baltimore, which provides services to adults and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Students have hosted health fairs, conducted medication audits, and provided childcare so that parents can attend educational programs.
“The Arc is grateful for this service and is thrilled that these future pharmacists will be more effective due to their rich experience in supporting adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities,” said Stephen Morgan, Executive Director of The Arc Baltimore, in an article published on North Baltimore Patch.
