Guests are invited to help a student get settled on the morning of Friday, August 25th and stay for lunch and the New Student Welcome at 1:00 p.m. Guest lunches may be purchased in the dining hall that day, or for an early-bird rate of $10.00 if purchased in advance. 

Once you submit this form, you will be redirected to RSVPBook where you can purchase guest meals and a ticket to the Orioles game on Friday, September 1st.

Friday, August 25th

Date: Friday, August 25, 2017 Time: 09:00 to 11:00 a.m. Location: Meletia Hall Lobby This is it! You’re finally moving into your home away from home and beginning your life at Notre Dame! Get settled into your new room and bid farewell to any family members and guests as you’re welcomed into the NDMU community as part of Welcome Week.

Date: Friday, August 25, 2017 Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Location: Doyle Dining Hall Please join NDMU community members along with your families and guests for lunch in Doyle Dining Hall. Students with meal plans will be able to utilize their student ID card and swipe that card upon entry, utilizing their meal plan for the first time this academic year. Guests may purchase lunch in advance via the online RSVP or at the door.

Date: Friday, August 25, 2017 Time: 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Location: Various locations on campus Reconnect with first-year seminar classmates and your NDMU 100 professor. Share the excitement of starting classes and get practical tips on using academic resources, working with your professor and “getting it all done.”
Date: Friday, August 25, 2017 Time: 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Location: Knott Auditorium All entering transfer and adult academic/nonacademic issues, academic expectations, University policies/procedures, and specialized programs and majors will be discussed.
Date: Friday, August 25, 2017 Time: 2:30 to 3:00 p.m. Location: Knott Auditorium New Gators will be led through practice for the New Student Cap & Gown Investiture that will occur on Tuesday, August 29th at 4 p.m. Regalia will be available during the Gator VIP night in the Triangle Bookstore on Sunday, August 27th from 6 to 8 p.m. in Gibbons Hall Lower Level.
Date: Friday, August 25, 2017 Time: 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Location: Bunting 220 If you are the first in your family to pursue a four-year college degree, you will want to attend this meeting and join this special academy.
Date: Friday, August 25, 2017 Time: 4:00 to 4:45 p.m. Location: NDMU Archway (Rain Location: Gator Alley) Touch base with your Orientation Leaders as you participate in a fun activity!
Date: Friday, August 25, 2017 Time: 4:45 to 6:00 p.m. Location: NDMU Archway/Gator Patio/Gator Alley Enjoy BBQ with your fellow Gators as well as lawn games. Guests are able to purchase meal tickets in advance for the early bird rate but are also able to purchase at the door.
Date: Friday, August 25, 2017 Time: 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Location: Doyle and Meletia Halls Resident students will have the opportunity to meet floor mates and Resident Assistants (RA) and learn the ropes for living in the residence halls.
Date: Friday, August 25, 2017 Time: 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Location: Doyle Dining Hall Hosted by the Community Program Assistants and Road Scholars, commuter students will have the opportunity to discuss tips and available resources for the upcoming year at Notre Dame. Specialty coffees and a variety of desserts will be available.

Date: Saturday, August 26, 2017 Time: 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Location: NDMU Archway Lawn (Rain Location: Gator Alley) Join your fellow Gators for a relaxing yoga lead instruction by the NDMU Archway Lawn behind Doyle Hall. Yogurt parfaits, fruit smoothies, and water will be available.

Date: Saturday, August 26, 2017 Time: 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Location: Doyle Hall Circle Baltimore Collegetown Network offers a free transportation service for students at local participating area universities and colleges to navigate the Baltimore area. Come tour the shuttle and learn about what both Baltimore Collegetown Network and the shuttle can provide during your time at Notre Dame.
Date: Saturday, August 26, 2017 Time: 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Location: Knott Auditorium Learn about the rich history and proud heritage of your Alma Mater through open dialogue with both current and former Notre Dame students about how they are living the University’s mission and how you can prepare to do the same.
Date: Saturday, August 26, 2017 Time: 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Location: Gator Alley Consider giving of your time and talent alongside your fellow Gators and Campus Ministry & Service to prepare backpacks for Grade 3-5 children from a local Baltimore elementary school.

Similar to graduation being the end of a student’s university experience, this event marks the beginning of a student’s time at NDMU. This session has been designed to prepare you for the kick off to your college career at NDMU.

Thursday, August 31st

Date: Thursday, August 31, 2017 Time: 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Location: Doyle Formal NDMU Students who have been awarded federal work-study will have a chance to meet and talk with on-campus departments and offices that have part-time job opening for the upcoming academic year. All attending FWS-awarded students will be entered in a raffle for a gift card.
Date: Thursday, August 31, 2017 Time: 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Location: Doyle Formal Get to know your fellow Gators through conversations about whom and what defines you and how you can define the Notre Dame community and sense of belonging on campus.

Friday, September 1, 2017

Date: Friday, September 1, 2017 Time: 6:00 to 10:10 p.m. (Bus departs campus at 6 p.m.) Cost: $10.00 NDMU students can sign up for a ticket by August 30th to cheer on the O’s as they take on the Toronto Blue Jays during Student Night at The Yard! Only NDMU students are permitted. Tickets are $10 with transportation provided. Payment must be received by Thursday, August 31st to participate. A refundable $5 deposit will be returned after students return to campus on the bus following the game. First 60 students to sign up will receive a limited edition Notre Dame Orioles baseball t-shirt! After submitting this form, you will be redirected to RSVPBook for payment if attending.
