Japanese Tranquility Garden Project
Sister Miriam Jansen has been the guiding force of Notre Dame's international program for more than 18 years. She has displayed an unyielding commitment to education as a means to unite our global community. During this tenure, Sister Miriam was blessed to share her love and appreciation of the Japanese culture with more than 150 students from Japan.
We invite Japanese alumnae and friends to join in support of a Japanese Tranquility Garden - a quiet, contemplative space on the Notre Dame campus-graced with Japanese cherry trees, a rock garden and seating. The natural beauty of campus will be enhanced by the serenity and tranquility of this simple Japanese-style garden. Please share in this effort with a gift inspired by your time at Notre Dame of Maryland.
