Baltimore, MD – Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU) and the Maryland Career Consortium (MCC) is bringing more than 100 employers to campus as part of the MCC Career Fair 2017 on February 24 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
NDMU students along with students from other Maryland college campuses (see a complete listing) will be introduced to local and national employees including government, private and non-profit sectors that are looking to fill open positions. The MCC Career Fair offers college students a direct opportunity for career or internship networking, resume review, and possible on-the-spot interviews.
MCC Career Fair is the largest university or college career fair in the region.
“Creating a good match for the employer and employee is strongly dependent upon connecting qualified candidates to workforce demands,” said Dr. Ammad Sheikh, director of NDMU Career Center and president, MCC. “This career fair is a great opportunity not only for our students to meet some of the area’s top employers but also for the employers to meet our highly skilled and talented college students from the area.”
Participating companies include Aerotek, CIA, Baltimore County Public Schools, Engineering Solutions Inc., Human Rights Campaign, Morgan Stanley, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, The Baltimore Sun Media Group, Delaware Department of Transportation, SolarCity, TSA and more.
MCC serves college students and graduates from four year regionally accredited public and private colleges and universities to connect with careers about which they can be passionate. MCC coordinates consortium-sponsored events and activities, provides an ongoing forum for communication and professional development for MCC members and collaborates with employers and graduate/professional schools to assist in their recruitment efforts.
