Angela Baumler Receives Distinguished Staff Award from Notre Dame of Maryland University

February 7, 2013

Angela Baumler, associate director of admissions, was honored by her peers with the  2013 Distinguished Staff Award from Notre Dame of Maryland University at the school’s annual Notre Dame Day celebration February 7.

“Colleagues say, ‘Angela is always supporting campus events--one of her favorites is serving Christmas dinner to the students,’ and, ‘As the advisor for the service sorority, she is teaching the Women’s College students how to serve others with compassion,’” said James F. Conneely, president of Notre Dame, as he announced the award. “We thank Angela for her excellent work, her support of our students and for all that she does on behalf of Notre Dame of Maryland University.”

The Distinguished Staff Award is chosen annually by Notre Dame faculty and staff to honor a peer who exhibits outstanding competence and performance in his or her area of responsibility; accepts challenges beyond the expected; responds consistently with a positive attitude; serves the community in a gracious manner; empowers others with the Notre Dame spirit; and contributes to the mission of the College.

A resident of Baltimore and graduate of Villanova University, Ms. Baumler joined Notre Dame’s admissions staff in 2005.
