Notre Dame of Maryland University Announces President’s Advisory Council

Notre Dame of Maryland University announces the founding members of the President’s Advisory Council, a newly established executive leadership group that will advise and assist President Mary Pat Seurkamp with issues related to Notre Dame’s recent university transition, as well as provide counsel for the presidential search process and subsequent leadership transition when a new president is named in 2012.

“This year of growth and transition provides a remarkable opportunity to expand Notre Dame’s role in the community and was a natural time to establish the President’s Advisory Council. I am grateful for the commitment and talent of our founding members,” said President Seurkamp. Membership of the Council includes the following individuals: 

  • Carroll Bodie, retired vice president and general counsel, Proctor & Gamble Cosmetics
  • Ava E. Lias-Booker, managing partner, McGuireWoods
  • Cynthia Egan, president, T. Rowe Price Retirement Plan Services
  • John C. Erickson, founder, Erickson Living; chairman and CEO of Retirement Living TV
  • Dr. Nancy S. Grasmick, retired superintendent of schools, State of Maryland
  • F. Patrick Hughes, president, Hughes and Associates LLC

Patricia J. Mitchell, chair of the Notre Dame Board of Trustees, serves as an ex officio member of the Council.
