Regional Networks: In addition to our on-campus resources, we connect students with wider opportunities through our membership in the Maryland Career Consortium (MCC), a network of 14 regional private and public colleges and universities, and the Selective Liberal Arts Colleges (SLAC), eight liberal arts institutions in Maryland and Virginia. The consortia sponsor career-related events and publish resources that help students expand their professional network and realize their career aspirations.
Internships & Employer Shadowing: Experiential learning is where academic studies and career development intersect. We help facilitate internship and short-term employer shadowing opportunities, so you'll be better prepared for the professional work world.
Internships for Credit: The Career Center offers an Internship Seminar, a two, three, or four-credit course every semester. Visit our internships webpage page for more information!
Workshops: In collaboration with the academic advising office, we offer a series of workshops each fall and spring that address topics such as professionalism, resume composition and formatting, networking, LinkedIn utilization, making a career fair work for you, etc. Watch for announcements of these special workshops and during the academic year.
