Job description- The position of student caller is highly valuable to Notre Dame of Maryland University. As a student caller, you will telephone graduates to update their records, inform them of campus updates, and ask for their financial support of The Notre Dame Fund (which provides critical support for the University's greatest needs). Your duties will include filling out call sheets, processing gift commitments, and writing thank you notes- all based on how your phone call went. While this work is of utmost importance to the University, you also have fun while doing so with nightly games and competitions.
Qualifications- To excel as a student caller you will need: Strong verbal communication skills -The ability to strike up conversation with strangers -Confidence in what you are asking for -Listening skills to direct conversation -To be dependable and timely (shifts begin promptly at 6pm) -A professional attitude -To be able to work well in a group environment. Prior experience in customer service is preferred, but not required (you will be trained).
Work days and hours- Monday through Thursday, 6-9pm; at least 2 nights a week
