Open to the public, Notre Dame has a variety of options for events of all sizes. Several large spaces on Notre Dame's campus are ideal for gatherings of 100 people or more. For showers, anniversary parties and even galas, the rooms are open and offer a great deal of flexibility to allow your decorating talents to truly be utilized. Our in-house caterer can provide you with standard menus or customize a menu just for your events. Meals from the simplest to the most elegant will be created to satisfy your palate and your budget.

Schedule your next conference on our beautiful and peaceful 58-acre campus. Filled with mature trees and walking paths, Notre Dame of Maryland University is a wonderful setting for a day or overnight conference. Our meeting and event space is available year round.
Notre Dame has a variety of classrooms, lecture halls, auditoriums, and multi-purpose rooms to meet the needs of today's event planners. Whether you are looking for a formal atmosphere or a more relaxed setting, we have a space to accommodate you. There are standard classrooms that will seat 10-40 people, lecture halls and auditoriums with tiered seating for 75-1000 people and multi-purpose rooms with the flexibility of a variety of set-ups. We also have several seminar rooms to offer that will hold a more intimate group for board meetings or smaller training groups.
For state-of-the-art training sessions, we offer multimedia classrooms and hi-tech classrooms. Each multimedia room includes a multimedia instructor station, ceiling-mounted video projector, a computer with both DVD and CD-ROM drives, a VCR, and stereo amplifier. Images may be directed onto the projection screen from the local computer, VCR or campus network. In the hi-tech classrooms each participant has an individual IBM-compatible computer which connects to the campus' network, the Internet and a network laser jet printer.
Overnight accommodations are available during the summer in our two residence halls: Doyle and Meletia. Doyle has 130 rooms and can sleep up to 249 people. Meletia has 116 rooms and will sleep 200 people at one time. Halls are equipped with lounges, kitchenettes, coin-operated laundry facilities, and telephone, computer, cable and Internet access. "Community bathrooms" serve many of the sleeping rooms; however, there are a number of rooms and suites with private or semi-private bathrooms. Sheets, towels, blankets, and pillows are included in the prices. Discounts are offered for stays without linen service.
Notre Dame of Maryland's recently renovated Marikle Chapel of the Annunciation, located on the second floor in Theresa Hall, is available to the public for weddings.
Both Catholic and non-Catholic ceremonies can be performed in Marikle Chapel. Discounts are offered to students, alumnae and their family, relatives of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, and friends of the University. Ceremonies can be scheduled on Friday evenings, Saturdays, or Sunday afternoons. Requests for dates and availability should be directed to our wedding coordinator at 410-532-5781 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Coordinating details related to the event, contracts and deposits will be handled through this office.
Marikle Chapel will seat up to 250 people including the bride, groom and the bridal party. Each couple must arrange for a celebrant, musicians, readers, and singers for their service. A baby grand piano and organ are housed in the chapel for musicians to use for the rehearsal and ceremony. A wedding coordinator will be assigned to each couple and will be present during the rehearsal and wedding. If the reception is also being held on the campus, the coordinator will remain to manage that function as well.
Doyle Formal is available for receptions whether the wedding has occurred in Marikle Chapel or at another location. The room will hold up to 180 people without a dance area and 140 people with a dance area. SAGE Dining Services is the on-site caterer. Menus are available for a range of reception options. Our chef can fashion meals from the simplest to the most elegant to satisfy your palate and your budget. Service can be provided buffet style, as a seated and served meal, or with themed stations. Bartenders are well-trained and will provide a host bar, open bar or table service for your reception.
SAGE Dining Services is our on-site caterer. We can accommodate small events, such as box lunches for a training class or large events, such as an elegantly themed wedding for 140 guests. SAGE is the only caterer permitted on campus. Please contact our office for more information.
