Faculty Resource Center
The Faculty Resource Center (FRC) encourages and supports the use of a variety of media and technology in academic courses at Notre Dame by offering advice, training and technical support.
Our goal is to promote the use of media and technology that enhances both learning and instruction.
The FRC offers faculty:
- Image and OCR scanning capabilities
- Access to a DVD camcorders and web cams
- Video, audio and image editing capabilities
- File and media format conversion capabilities
- Access to MAC and PC platforms
Each semester, the FRC offers a variety of hands-on workshops and individualized training sessions covering Blackboard (our course management software), online pedagogy, MS Office, video and audio editing, image scanning and editing, the Internet and other requested topics.
Faculty will find the FRC to be a friendly, quiet place to develop new technology skills and resources for their courses with the multimedia instructional technologist to advise and assist them. Faculty members are always welcome to drop by or make an appointment; appointments are available at many convenient times.
