Public Relations

The director of public relations is the University’s primary contact with media.

If you are contacted by a member of the media, call Nancy Carr, director of media relations, at extension 5546 immediately.

If you have an event that is open to the public and you want to promote it through the media, contact the director of public relations no later than six weeks in advance.

Information needed includes the name of the event, date, time, place, event contact name and phone number than can be published, and why the event is being held.

Crisis Communications

The University has developed communications protocols in the event of a crisis. Depending on the situation, various communications methods will be used, including text alerts, email, voice mail, Web updates and direct communication with media. For more information, call Nancy Carr.
