Dear Campus Community,
Important security information follows. Please read.
Tonight, the Office of Public Safety was informed of an alleged sexual assault on a member of our campus community that occurred while walking from the Loyola/Notre Dame Library to campus at approximately 3:00 a.m. this morning. The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s, approximately 5’10” tall, medium build, and armed with a knife. The Baltimore City Police have been notified of the incident and are actively involved in the investigation.
Please be assured that your safety is our top priority. Our Office of Public Safety is responding during this time of the investigation with additional campus patrols. We are also working with our partners at Loyola University to provide heightened security in the area of the Loyola/Notre Dame Library and throughout our campuses.
We ask you to assist us by following these safety measures without fail:
- Use our campus escort service, especially after dark. Call the switchboard, day or night, at 410-532-5360 or dial "0" from campus phones for a campus escort.

- Always walk with friends.
- Note the location of Security Phones throughout campus.
Please feel free to contact me if you have questions. I will keep the campus community informed of information as it becomes available.
