We want to make sure that our "road scholars" stay connected on campus.
All Notre Dame commuters are invited to experience and enjoy the many facets of campus life and are an important part of our University's social fabric. The University values your contributions, so get involved, share your NDMU journey, and transform others to change the world!
Notre Dame's Road Scholars
You are encouraged to join the Road Scholars, NDMU's organization for our commuter students. There you’ll meet new friends and discover new services, programs and outreach opportunities. Road Scholars are strongly encouraged to participate in campus events and organizations, including representation at the Student Government Association and ensuring that commuter concerns are addressed. Class representatives also inform the class of any commuter concerns and act as liaisons between students and the committee.
All meetings of the Road Scholars are open to all non-residential students.
Commuters usually spend lunchtime in Gator Alley, the Commuter Lounge and Study Room in Doyle Hall's lower level, or in Doyle Dining Hall. Microwaves are available near vending machines in the lower levels of Gibbons Hall and Doyle Hall as well as the Commuter Lounge in Doyle Hall.
Commuter Student Lockers
Lockers are available in Doyle Hall's lower level and the Marion Burk Knott Complex. To claim a locker, please complete a locker agreement form that may be obtained from the Student Life Information Center (SLIC) Desk in Doyle Hall Lobby. You must provide your own lock, which must be removed at the end of the academic year.
