Notre Dame of Maryland University Anchorage Program
Be a part of tradition and help to carry on the Notre Dame legacy!
In line with the Notre Dame of Maryland University's mission, the Anchorage Program will work towards creating a vibrant, community-oriented environment for all Women's College students in which they will be supported as they develop the skills and knowledge to become our world's upcoming leaders who will transform lives.
The Anchorage Program will promote success and involvement for all incoming Women’s College students, connecting them to current NDMU students as well as important student services and resources. Online application forms will be completed by both new incoming students as well as returning students, allowing “Little Sisters” to be paired with “Big Sisters” based upon students’ interests, studies, and activities, as well as their class status (first-year, sophomore, junior and senior). Transfer students will be able to be paired with other “Big Sisters” and become a “Twin Big” so that they are involved and connected, both to their sister class as well as their graduating class. Various events will be held throughout each semester to encourage support, advice, mentorship, and community to their Notre Dame family, including an “Anchors Away!: Sister Unveiling Party” during the University’s Family Weekend.
