College life involves the transformation from adolescence to adulthood. During this time of personal growth, there are many good times as well as life challenges. While college provides many exciting opportunities, it can also be a difficult and stressful time of adjustment for students. The Counseling Center provides a confidential setting to talk with an objective professional about your concerns.

Some things we can help you with include:

  • Adjustment to college
  • Anxiety, depression & anger
  • Eating disorder, overeating or body image concerns
  • Fear of public speaking or test anxiety
  • Grief or Loss
  • Self-esteem & self-confidence
  • Stress management or time management
  • Relationships with friends, roommates, parents, romantic partners, or spouse
  • Physical or sexual abuse
  • Problems encountered in college setting
  • Trauma and sexual assault

Counseling is free to all students.

The Counseling Center & Disability Support Services is located in the basement of Theresa Hall room 016.


Schedule an Appointment

To make an appointment, please call the Counseling Center at ext. 5384 (or from off-campus at 410-532-5384) to speak to a counselor. If no one is available to take your call, please leave a message in the general voice mailbox. Your call will be returned within the next business day. If the event of an emergency, call x6666 from on campus and 410-435-0100 from off campus to reach security and have the director paged, or dial 911. You may also fill out an Online Appointment Request.
