Gift Shop

NDMU apparel and gifts may still be purchased on campus in addition to the online store. The space where the bookstore was located in the basement of Gibbons Hall has been transformed into a Gift Shop and student lounge.

Can I purchase textbooks at the gift shop on campus?

As of Summer 2020, we have moved to an online bookstore model for course materials. Textbooks will not be available in store for purchase. 

The new course-driven system guarantees that you’ll order and receive the right book, right on time. Our online bookstore will ensure that all students have a large variety of course material options at affordable pricing.

How do I use my textbook voucher?

Before placing an order for your textbooks, please fill out the Textbook Voucher verification form.

Submissions are reviewed by Financial Aid and the Business Office. Once verified, you will receive an email from the Bookstore team with a special code to use at check out when purchasing textbooks.

Important Notes

  • Vouchers can only be used within a certain timeframe.
  • Vouchers cannot be used on apparel or gifts.
What does the order status "In Progress" mean?

If your textbook order status says “in progress” then your payment method has not been billed yet. You will only be billed after a textbook order has been fulfilled.

What do I do if my payment method failed? How will I know?

Please check your email regularly. If the payment method you submitted did not go through, you would have received an email from Barnes & Noble letting you know that you need to submit a different payment method before your order can be processed.

In the event this happens to you, the bookstore will contact you to see whether you want to submit a new payment method or cancel your textbook order request (if you went an alternative route).

How is COVID-19 affecting textbook purchases?

Unfortunately, shipping delays are common right now. Please keep an eye on your tracking number to determine where your textbook order is once it has shipped. If you have any questions about shipping, please reach out to the shipping carrier with your tracking number.

To avoid any shipping delays that may occur with printed course materials, we recommend that you select available digital formats for any course materials you choose to purchase so that you have immediate access and are ready for the start of class.

I purchased my textbook elsewhere due to shipping times. Can I get a refund?

If your order was too delayed, and you purchased your textbooks another way, you can submit a request for a refund once you have received the book. Refunds cannot be issued until you have returned the book to the bookstore. It may be dropped off at the Gift Shop on campus or mailed back for a refund.

How do I return my rented textbooks?

Please follow these instructions for printing your label and returning rentals to the bookstore.
