How to Apply for Financial Aid

Obtain an FSA ID

The FSA ID consists of a user-created username and password to electronically access personal information on the Federal Student Aid websites, including the FAFSA.

Important Dates & Deadlines

October 1 – FAFSA Available: List Notre Dame of Maryland University with school code 002065.
March 1- Maryland deadline to file a FAFSA for consideration of state aid.

FAFSA Follow Up

The U.S. Department of Education will email a link to the FAFSA Submission Summary with your FAFSA results. Check the FAFSA Submission Summary for accuracy and make any necessary corrections.
If your FAFSA is selected for verification, accepted applicants will be notified by email to submit required documents.

Award Notification

After your financial aid file is complete, you will receive an award notice if you meet all of the eligibility requirements.
