The Notre Dame Fund supports NDMU’s operating budget and campus-wide priorities, including clubs and student organizations, as well as tangible resources like laboratory supplies, athletic equipment, and books.

  • Greatest Need: Addresses immediate demands and evolving priorities
  • Financial Aid & Scholarships: 99% of Notre Dame students receive some form of financial aid
  • Faculty Research & Development: Helps attract and retain top-tier educators
  • Student Experience: Supports campus improvements, technology upgrades, and extracurricular activities

Giving back is a way to pay it forward. In addition to supporting today’s students, your gift:

  • Strengthens the University’s reputation, enhancing the value of your degree
  • Demonstrates your Notre Dame pride and belief in our mission to educate future leaders
  • Helps unlock additional funding, as high alumni participation influences rankings and attracts corporate and foundation support

  • Endowment Giving: Endowed funds function like long-term investments. The principal remains intact, while investment income supports priorities over time. For example, a named scholarship generates funding year after year.
  • Capital Giving: Capital gifts support major, one-time projects identified by the NDMU Board of Trustees, such as facility renovations or campus improvements (e.g., the Knott Science Center or Alumnae Field).

In short, the Notre Dame Fund supports annual operating expenses, while capital and endowment gifts provide long-term growth and funding for major projects.

The Gator Guild is NDMU’s entry-level giving society. Donors who contribute $250–$999 within a fiscal year (July 1–June 30) are eligible for membership. Members receive an exclusive Gator Guild sticker and the Gator Gazette, the Notre Dame Fund’s annual impact report.
