Athletics – Spring 2021 (Updated: February 8, 2021)

The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Board of Directors announced on February 8 that Spring sports will return this 2021 semester. The CSAC intends to move forward with scheduled conference seasons and championships for all spring sports including lacrosse, softball, tennis and outdoor track for NDMU. This is an exciting next step in our return to campus for our student-athletes and our Notre Dame community.

All-CSAC institutions are firmly committed to following expectations outlined in the CSAC Return to Play Plan in combination with all NCAA safety recommendations. At NDMU, we continue to follow our NDMU Together safety protocols and closely monitor all local, state and federal guidelines in maintaining the health and safety of our community and our student-athletes.

All current rostered spring student-athletes have been in contact with their respective coaches to prepare for the start of their season. If any eligible students are interested in competing this spring and have not previously been in contact with the Department of Athletics, you are encouraged to contact Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation, Renee Bostic (rbostic@ndm.edu) to ensure timely onboarding following safety protocols. At this time, only students who have been cleared to come to campus are eligible to participate in athletics this spring. Any questions regarding eligibility can be directed towards Renee Bostic.

The CSAC Board of Directors, athletic administrators and conference office staff will continue to monitor the conditions of COVID-19 throughout the semester to maintain the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, officials and game personnel and make necessary adjustments as the season proceeds.
