University Student Health Insurance Plan

Notre Dame of Maryland University requires certain students to carry personal health insurance. Each fall, all required students will automatically be enrolled in the University Student Health Insurance Plan. If you currently have outside health coverage, you have the option to opt out of the University Student Health Insurance Plan. If you do not waive coverage you will see a bill for the University Student Health Insurance plan on your fall semester student bill. Please note this is an annual process, each academic year you will need to waive coverage if you have insurance outside of the University Student Health Insurance Plan.

United Healthcare is the University Student Health Insurance Plan provider for AY2025-26 and will offer coverage beginning August 1, 2025 through July 31, 2026.
