As faculty and staff at NDMU, you play a critical role in the student experience. You have an opportunity and obligation to support students and get them connected to people and offices on campus that can help.

Case Management can work with you and your departments to provide you with resources, trainings, and support for your work with students who are struggling. While Case Management can be a vital resource for students, we recognize the importance of educating faculty and staff around students of concern, mental health and wellness, and ways to support students. Guide to Referring Students Concern

Ideally, any time a community member reports an incident or a student of concern to one of these resources, a conversation between the reporting party and the student of concern is taking place in advance. This is not always possible, but it does usually foster the most effective outreach plan and is therefore a strong preference.
