This workshop will cover the basics of copyright law, the public domain, using materials already licensed for use either through the library or Creative Commons, and seeking copyright permissions. It will also provide information on the fair use provision in copyright law and how it can be applied to using copyrighted materials in teaching and research. Participants will work through examples to help make them feel comfortable applying fair use. This workshop will be held online using Zoom. Login instructions will be sent to registered attendees.
