Listening Session on Racism

As an initial response to Archbishop William E. Lori’s recent pastoral statement on racism, The Journey to Racial Justice, the Archdiocese of Baltimore welcomes all to attend a Listening Session on Racism on Monday, April 29 from 7-9 pm at LeClerc Auditorium at Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU).

The event will be co-sponsored by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and NDMU, and will include a series of invited speakers who will share their experiences of racism in the Catholic Church. Participants will also be invited to share written input on how the Church should move forward in addressing racism.

Most Rev. Shelton Fabre, chair of the USCCB Ad Hoc Committee Against Racism; Archbishop Lori and all three auxiliary bishops of the Archdiocese of Baltimore; and Most Rev. John Ricard, Bishop Emeritus of Pensacola-Tallahassee will compose the panel of listeners.
