The annual assessment process at NDMU is built from the mission, vision, strategic priorities, and goals that communicate the work of the institution and the outcomes that demonstrate the effectiveness and success of that work.

Assessment at NDMU gives us the data and tools to implement our strategic plan, align it with student learning outcomes, and make accurate budget and resource allocation decisions.

The University Assessment Committee (UAC) meets monthly to oversee, direct and communicate the University Assessment process, which includes the assessment of student learning and the assessment of institutional effectiveness.

Assessment of student learning allows each program and department to set its own goals and the means by which it intends to reach those goals. It is a process that encourages creative thought, actionable recommendations and successful accomplishments.
