NDMU Residence Halls will close for Summer Break on Friday, May 14th at 6 pm. All students must leave for summer break unless you have an extenuating circumstance and need to stay over summer break. Please use the following link, to request to stay over summer break. The deadline to submit a summer break request is Friday, April 16th at Noon.
Each resident will check out with their RA/Res Life staff starting on Monday, May 10th - Friday, May 14th. Your RA will send an email with directions on how to sign up for a check-out time slot. Your room key will be collected at check out.
If you want to request a summer storage space on campus, please apply here. Summer storage space is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
The dining hall will close on Saturday, May 15th.
Since you will move out the residence halls for the end of the year closing, you need to take ALL your belongings and fully move out of your room.
Bins will be located in the lobby of each residence hall to assist you with the move out. Please try to take one at a time. We ask that after you are finished moving out, you return the bin(s) to the lobby to assist the custodial staff with sanitizing and the next group with moving.
If you rented from MyFridgeRental, be sure to clean everything out. Once all food is cleaned out and properly disposed of, unplug the fridge and freezer and leave the door open. This will ensure the fridge remains mold-free once the company comes to pick up your rental..
Double check your bathroom, wardrobe, under your bed, desk drawers, etc. Trash bags will be available in the lobby of each residence hall. Be sure to put all trash in a trash bag, close the bag, and dispose of your trash in the trash room on your floor.
Turn all lights off
Turn off your AC unit (if you have one)
Close your windows
When you are finished moving your things out, close and lock your residence hall room door behind you.
It is very important that you pack up everything, improper checkout and leaving excess trash or perishable will result in charges to your student account
TURN IN YOUR KEY - Be sure to turn your key in before you leave. You will sign up for a check out time with your RA/Res Life Staff. Failure to turn in your key will result in a charge to your student account.
