NDMU Drama's Alice in Wonderland Brings Beloved Novel to Life
Family-friendly, Interactive Production Showcases Artistic Talents of NDMU Community Members
Colorful watercolor artwork for Alice in Wonderland production

BALTIMORE – NDMU Drama will present a family-friendly, interactive production of "Alice in Wonderland" with four performances from Friday, March 24 – Sunday, March 26 in LeClerc Hall at Notre Dame of Maryland University. General admission is $15, and student admission is $5 with ID. Children under 12 are free with any ticket purchase. Purchase your tickets online.

This classic stage adaption by Eva Le Gallienne and Florida Friebus depicts the fast-paced adventure of 7-year-old Alice from Lewis Carroll’s beloved children’s book. It follows Alice as she goes through the looking glass and meets the strange and eccentric inhabitants of Wonderland. Along with plenty of Baltimore-themed surprises, there will be seating on stage for any brave volunteers who might want to get closer to the action and the mad tea party. Families with children are also encouraged to visit the lobby station throughout the performance for Wonderland-themed coloring pages, stickers, and photo opportunities.

Tickets are available for all four performances:

  • Friday, March 24, 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 25, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 26, 2 p.m.

Directed by Baltimore-based director Ann Turiano, the production features members of the NDMU community, as well as a couple of guest artists:

  • Caitlin Cottrill as Alice
  • Benni Jessee as the White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, and Sheep
  • Angelina Moree as the Mouse, Jabberwocky, and Queen of Hearts
  • Denise Gittings as the Dodo, Duchess, and Seven of Spades
  • Hermione Riggs as the Crab, Mad Hatter, Gryphon, and Tweedledum
  • Sherry Moore as the White Queen, Eaglet, and Dormouse
  • Anisah Khattak as the Frog Footman, 5 of Spades, and Puppeteer
  • Alexander Ose (guest artist) as the King of Hearts, White Knight, Cook, March Hare, and Lory
  • Alexander Scally (guest artist) as the Caterpillar, Knave of Hearts, Mock Turtle, Tweedledee, and Humpty Dumpty
