NDMU Marketing Publications Recognized for Creative Excellence in Global Competition
Marketing Department’s Total Recruitment Package, Student Viewbook Submissions Each Earn Gold Award Status
Fourier Hall

By: Erik Pedersen, Content Strategy Director

BALTIMORE – Student recruitment materials produced by Notre Dame of Maryland University’s Marketing Department earned the highest-possible Gold status in a global competition celebrating excellence in educational advertising.

The 39th annual Educational Advertising Awards, the country’s largest competition for education marketing professionals, included over 2,000 entries from colleges, universities, and secondary schools across all 50 states and several foreign countries. NDMU’s Total Recruitment Package and Student Viewbook submissions each achieved the highest-possible Gold award designation.

Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals. Entries were reviewed for creativity, marketing execution and message impact, with top selections receiving Gold, Silver, Bronze, or Merit distinction.

The Marketing Department’s Total Recruitment Package and Student Viewbook publications submitted for the award, created in collaboration with marketing and branding agency Mindpower Inc., maintained the University’s distinct The Best You branding while transitioning to a gender-inclusive presentation. The publications provide an introduction to Notre Dame for prospective students as they begin their college search.

NDMU welcomed a historic gender-inclusive class of students into the undergraduate program in Fall 2023. The first-year Class of 2027 was the second-largest new student enrollment in NDMU history, undergraduate enrollment increased by 27 percent overall for the 2023-24 academic year, and new student enrollment more than doubled.
