BALTIMORE – A Notre Dame of Maryland University graduate and finance expert will share her experience with joining a corporate board and provide a roadmap for how women and other traditionally underrepresented groups can become board members at this year's Charles J. Busta III Business Forum on Thursday, April 13 at 6 p.m. in LeClerc Hall. The event is free and open to the public. Register online.

Marti Tirinnanzi '82 is founder and president of the consulting firm Financial Standards, Inc. and serves on the Board of Directors of the Intercontinental Exchange, a Fortune 500 company and parent company of the iconic New York Stock Exchange. She will provide a road map to beginning your own board journey, with the goal of joining a nonprofit, private or public company board of directors.

Since she founded Financial Standards, Inc. in 1996, Tirinnanzi has advised a variety of companies in effective finance strategies and regulatory compliance. In March 2022, she was appointed independent director on the board of the Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE), after serving for several years on two subsidiary boards, ICE Mortgage Services and ICE Mortgage Technology Corporation. Since 2012, she has served on the Board of Directors for Community Development Trust, a residential housing and community development financial institution.

The annual Charles J. Busta III Business Forum is designed to showcase the thoughts and experiences of business leaders, especially women, to encourage creativity and personal growth. The speaker series was created in memory of Charles J. “CB” Busta, a Notre Dame trustee and marketing executive who died in 1999.
