An understanding of the skills to help us effectively find and apply the abundance of information at our fingertips is essential to life and necessary for success both inside and outside the classroom. This presentation examines the critical skills that help students extract essential knowledge, verify authenticity, and perceive meaning and significance. Using a simple 5A’s process, (Ask, Access, Analyze & Authenticate, Apply, Assess) participants will be able to help their students learn to identify, locate, collect, authenticate, and use information to solve real world tasks and challenges
