Kylie Eldridge

Kylie came to the spring Career Fair prepared with high hopes of making a connection with potential employers, but didn't know just how big of an impact this one event would have. As a result of her networking that day, she landed an analyst position with the U.S. Department of Defense and she credits her success to her NDMU education. "The liberal arts foundation NDMU provides helped me develop as a whole person as well as an academic. It instilled a strong work ethic in me and I was prepared to do a lot of writing." Kylie also notes the close relationships with faculty and the mentoring she received during her four years as an important part of her career development.

Maryland Board of Nursing Appointee

Jenell Steele, BSN, RN

Governor Larry Hogan appointed Jenell to the Maryland Board of Nursing as the Registered Nurse-At-Large member. She began her term in February 2018 and will serve for four years by bringing a firsthand perspective of the issues and trends impacting nursing care in Maryland. Jenell has been a registered nurse for five years and works at Johns Hopkins Bayview.

Michtta was selected for the Senior Commissioned Officer Student Training and Extern Program (SRCOSTEP) by the U.S. Public Health Service. As one of nine trainees from across the country, Michtta will be commissioned as an Ensign while she completes her Doctor of Pharmacy. Upon graduation, she will be a commissioned officer assigned to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
