Do you use copyrighted materials in your courses and research but worry that you don’t really understand copyright law? Does all your copyright knowledge come from information passed onto you by others that may not be fully accurate or reflect what the law actually says? Copyright Myths and Legends will explore some of the common misunderstandings about copyright law and help you differentiate what the law actually says from the copyright tall tales that often prevail. You’ll also be regaled with tales of legendary copyright cases that have changed copyright law as we know it. Topics covered will be myths related to fair use, use of online materials, copyright registration, and copyright terms.
