BALTIMORE, Md. – Notre Dame of Maryland University’s Annual Giving Office was nationally recognized for excellence from the world’s leading organization for annual giving programs.

The Annual Giving Network’s Best in Annual Giving Awards recognized the postcard entitled, “Gators Through the Years,” with a Bronze Award. The piece celebrates NDMU’s 130th anniversary by pairing humor with nostalgia, reimagining the University’s archival photos with NDMU’s Gator mascot. It illustrates that while NDMU has changed since its founding in 1895, the University's core mission remains the same.

Emily Brungo, NDMU’s director of annual giving & stewardship, said she designed the postcard to appeal to alumni to make a gift and join the Gator Guild, a new giving society to recognize donors. The piece encourages donors to both honor NDMU’s legacy and invest in its future.

The AGN’s Best in Annual Giving Awards showcase quality, creativity, and innovation in a variety of publications and other materials related to educational fundraising. AGN features winning submissions in future publications and in an online database as examples of best practices in the field. The 2025 competition had 121 nominations representing educational institutions from around the country.
