(BALTIMORE, Md.) – Notre Dame of Maryland University is making it easier for Marylanders to earn a four-year bachelor’s degree by offering an additional $5,000 scholarship for state residents who transfer to the university to complete their degree.

New transfer students who live in Maryland are automatically eligible to receive NDMU’s Maryland Transfer Grant when they enroll in an undergraduate degree program at NDMU, as part of a generous financial aid package. Students will have the opportunity to thrive at Notre Dame with a liberal arts-based education, small class sizes, caring professors, and in-demand degree programs, including a nationally ranked and accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program

“Notre Dame of Maryland University is proud of our commitment to provide greater access to quality higher education to Maryland residents as we educate leaders to transform the world,” said Scott Briell, NDMU's vice president for enrollment management and student  services. "With an exceptional NDMU education, our students become the best versions of themselves and make a difference through service in our communities."

In addition to offering Maryland’s only women’s college, NDMU provides undergraduate degree programs to women and men who want flexibility as they pursue their education. NDMU’s convenient options include full- or part-time study, weekend classes, and fully online degree programs. Undergraduate students can transfer up to 68 credits from a community college and up to 90 credits from another four-year institution, making it easy to complete their degree on time. NDMU has promoted academic and professional excellence grounded in the Catholic educational tradition since 1895.
