NDMU Announces Face-to-Face Class Cancellations and Modifications

While there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at NDMU, the University has made the decision to cancel all face-to-face classes beginning today, March 11 at 1:00 p.m. through Friday, March 13 at its North Charles Street and Southern Maryland campuses.

After the scheduled spring break next week, March 14-22, face-to-face classes will resume via remote instruction through at least April 5, with the exception of programmatic clinical, practicums, and internships. While subject to change, face-to-face classes are currently scheduled to resume on Monday, April 6.

For graduate students in full 15-week semester classes, beginning on March 14, face-to-face classes will resume via remote instruction through at least, April 5.

This week’s class cancellation will allow faculty and staff to finalize plans for remote instruction that will begin on Monday, March 23. Your faculty members will reach out to you electronically with specific instructions via your NDMU email address.

The residence halls will close on Friday, March 13 at 3:00 p.m. All students are expected to leave campus and to return home. We ask students to take all essential belongings, medications, and course materials from your residence hall until face-to-face classes resume on Monday, April 6.

Notre Dame of Maryland University remains open and all employees should report to work as scheduled.

Additional information will continue to be shared and posted at NDMU’s COVID-19 webpage. Please continue to check this page regularly for important updates.
