“…if each one would light a candle we’d have a tremendous light” ― Sister Thea Bowman

Community Prayer

Throughout the academic year, we gather as a community for prayer. The plurality of our belief and experience is celebrated and integrated into these experiences. These experiences are grounded in our community and our mission.

Sacred Spaces

While these spaces are open to all members of our community, those who are not residential students must contact Campus Security (410-435-0100) to gain access to those located within residential halls.

  • Doyle Hall Chapel (Doyle Hall, second floor)
  • Grotto of the Sacred Heart (in the grove in front of Caroline Hall)
  • Interfaith Prayer Room (Meletia Hall, first floor)
  • Marikle Chapel of the Annunciation (Theresa Hall, second floor)
  • Muslim Prayer Room (Doyle Hall, second floor)

Catholic Liturgies

Held in the Catholic tradition, students and staff from all religious and non-religious backgrounds are welcome to join us to celebrate Mass in Marikle Chapel of the Annunciation, located on the 2nd floor of Theresa Hall.

We encourage you to take an active part in our celebrations. If you are interested in becoming a lector or Eucharistic Minister or to lend your musical talents, please contact Mission & Ministry at campusministry@ndm.edu.

Mass Schedule

  • Weekday Masses: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 12:10 p.m.
  • Sunday Mass: 6:00 p.m.

RCIA & Confirmation

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is the process by which adults are welcomed into the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion. For those already baptized into the Christian faith, Confirmation deepens one’s baptismal call as they are anointed by the Holy Spirit. All involved are supported by our community throughout their discernment and preparation.

If you are interested in learning more about RCIA or Confirmation, email our office at campusministry@ndm.edu.

Weddings

Marikle Chapel of the Annunciation is available to the public for Catholic weddings. Requests for dates and availability should be directed to the Conference Services wedding coordinator at 410-532-5782 or events@ndm.edu.
