Nichole' C. Gatewood, Esq. the founder of Gatewood & Associates, LLC. Nichole’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation in federal and state court, small business law services and internal investigations. A seasoned advocate, for over a decade, she served as an Assistant Attorney General at the Office of the Attorney General for Maryland. At Notre Dame, she earned an interdisciplinary bachelor’s degree in psychology and communications. Nichole' says, "Notre Dame was the cornerstone of my educational foundation. Here, I learned to be limitless and that no box exists. My Notre Dame is the place where I found my voice and was challenged to speak louder and rise higher. My Notre Dame is a village of support where a legacy of excellence was not optional and each student, [alum], faculty, staff, and friend feels welcomed home each time they enter our campus. On these grounds, every voice is included and there are no strangers, only cheerleaders waiting to help you soar!”
As an advocate, speaker, and thought leader, Nichole' has a tenacious passion and dedication for civic service. She believes that you must use your mouth for someone else’s victory. In addition to serving as the President of Notre Dame’s Alumnae & Alumni Council, she serves on the Alumnae and Alumni Networking and First Impressions’ committees. Additionally, she is the Vice President of The Federal Bar Association, MD Chapter, where she serves as Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion committee and, former Chair, of the Nominations committee; Vice President of the Hillsdale Heights Neighborhood Association; and as a board member on the Forest Park Alliance, an organization focused on infrastructure development within the Forest Park communities. Nichole' will serve as President until June 30, 2023.
Victoria is a laboratory animal research assistant for the Center for Epigenetic Research in Child Health and Brain Development at the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Medicine. She studies how parental stress affects the risk of neurodevelopment disorders and neuropsychiatric diseases in offspring. In addition to her volunteer role at NDMU, she is a volunteer dolphin trainer at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. Victoria cites NDMU as giving her the foundation and tools in which to thrive in her profession. She also accredits the strong mentorship from many of her professors with her current successes in her career. Victoria is the immediate Past President of the AAC.
The Rev. Jessica Sexton is an Episcopal Priest in the Diocese of Maryland where she serves as Priest-in-Charge at Trinity Episcopal Church, Long Green. She was a Biology major with a concentration in Pre-medicine and minored in Religious Studies. She is grateful to Notre Dame of Maryland University for being a place of professional and spiritual discovery as her dreams of being a doctor transitioned into a calling to the Priesthood. The professors and staff at Notre Dame cultivated an environment of support and encouragement that allowed her to do so. Jessica currently serves as an at-large representative; her term ends June 30, 2023.
Joe serves as Vice President, Area Manager for First National Bank. He earned his bachelor's degree in business from NDMU where his focus was marketing and management. His experience was, "amazing due in large part to the positive impact made by the faculty and staff in shaping [my] life and career," he says.
In his spare time, Joe is a volunteer firefighter, certified emergency medical responder, and a rescue diver for the City of Havre de Grace. Joe is excited and eager to help carry on the University’s tradition of service through his role on the Council. Joe currently serves as an at-large representative; his term ends June 30, 2020.
Amy was a Morrissey Scholar at Notre Dame where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law. Immediately after graduation, she obtained her social studies teaching certification in Notre Dame’s Accelerated Certification for Teaching program. After a brief stop at Goucher College for her Master’s Degree in Education, she returned to Notre Dame of Maryland University for her Ph.D. Amy is currently sharing her passion for history with middle school students in Baltimore City. She credits Notre Dame with fostering her love for history and providing her with the skills to develop that love in others.
Amy is the Ph.D. representative on the council. Her term ends June 30, 2023.
Christina "Chrissy" Bolmarcich is a Principal Attorney and the Chair of Semmes, Bowen & Semmes’ Business Litigation and Maritime Department. Ms. Bolmarcich practices Labor and Employment law. Ms. Bolmarcich was selected by The Daily Record as one of Maryland’s 2016 Top 100 Women, as a “Rising Star” by Maryland Super Lawyers Magazine for 2013 and 2014, and as a “Super Lawyer” by Maryland Super Lawyers Magazine for 2018 and 2019. In Semmes' 132 year history, Ms. Bolmarcich is the first female attorney to serve as the Chair of a Semmes' Department. She is the second female attorney to serve as a member of the Firm's Management Committee. She also serves as the Chair of the Firm's Library Committee and is an active member of the Firm's Diversity Committee.
Ms. Bolmarcich is an active member of the Board of Directors of Sail Baltimore and is active at NDMU, serving on committees including the Networking Committee. Ms. Bolmarcich was the 2017 receipt of the Elizabeth P. Hoisington ’40 Distinguished Alumna Award, which is presented to an NDMU graduate who, through achievements in career and community service embodies the principles of NDMU.
In May 2019, NDMU's Board of Trustees voted unanimously for Ms. Bolmarcich to serve as a Trustee Associate. Why Ms. Bolmarcich loves NDMU is because it gives women the opportunity to realize that their hard work determines their success and/or happiness, that they hold the power to achieve whatever goals they choose, that they never need to settle for anything less than what they want, and that honest and direct communication is the key to everything.
Chrissy is an At-Large member. Her term ends June 30, 2023.
Annie Caporellie earned her BA in Business Administration with a minor in Philosophy from Notre Dame of Maryland University in 2012. Since graduating, she has delved into a variety of roles within the development world including two years in medical administration, a stint in Philadelphia working for an international law firm, four years and the Sales and Marketing Associate for an events and conference center in Harford County, MD, and finally ending up as the Educational Program Manager for a small non-profit. In her free time, Annie taps into her passion for community building at NDMU. She also serves on the Alumni Board for the Baltimore Collegetown LeaderShape Program, is a Steering Committee member for the Arc of Baltimore Luminaries group, and a Board Member for SparkVision's Life Lens Brain Trust. She also enjoys photography and wedding coordination.

Amanda has lived her entire life in Maryland; born and raised in Harford County, MD, currently residing in Baltimore County. In her professional life, Amanda has been a pharmacist for over 5 years. Her current position is the Wholesale Operations Pharmacist Manager with Johns Hopkins HomeCare Group where she services Ambulatory Outpatient Clinics with supplies and inventory needs. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and her 2 four legged children (Lille and Lana). She also enjoys baking, traveling, and exploring new opportunities, which includes being an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics. In the future, she aspires to continue to serve her community as a pharmacist for medication assistance and management throughout all aspects and phases of life.
Amanda is a School of Pharmacy representative and a newly appointed Board of Trustee member for NDMU. Her terms end June 30, 2023.
Irnande Altema, Esq. is the Policy Director of Special Populations at the Mental Health Association of Maryland. Prior to, she served as the Chief of Staff for Maryland State Senator Kathy Klausmeier. At NDMU, she studied Biology and minored in Chemistry. NDMU taught her how important it is to trust your voice and magnify it to transform the world. She founded FirstGenRise to create a platform for first-generation students, graduates, and attorneys navigating the academia and the profession world. Also, Irnande is the author of “The Rise of a First Gen” which journeys the struggles and successes of a first-generation American determined to rise.
Irnande represents the School of Arts, Sciences, and Business. Her term ends June 30, 2023.
Denise E. Dunn earned her BA in Business with a minor in Management from Notre Dame in 2004. She was a former Department of Justice, Contract Specialist and Department of Defense, Contractor. In her spare time, she enjoys attending diverse theatrical performances, swimming, and bicycling. Denise is the CAUS representative. Her term ends June 30, 2023.
