OPA is a nationally recognized service-sorority on campus. The purpose and goals of this sorority are to assemble its members in the fellowship of Omega Phi Alpha, to develop friendship, leadership and cooperation by promoting service to the university community, to the community-at-large, to the members of the sorority, and to the nations of the world.

Tell Me More About OPA

Omega Phi Alpha, often referred to as OPA or OPhiA, is a national service sorority founded in 1967. There are 27 active chapters around the country. The chapter at Notre Dame was established in 2009. Similar to Notre Dame's mission, OPA focuses on creating strong leaders through six areas of service. Each semester, OPA sisters complete a minimum requirement of 15 hours of service in addition to partaking in traditional greek life activities such as big little pairings, formals, and sisterhood retreats. 

How Do I Join Omega Phi Alpha?

Our chapter holds two recruitment periods a year--one in the fall and one in the spring. Recruitment week is a chance for potential new members to learn more about Omega Phi Alpha and to meet the sisters.
